"Educators with Passports has done so much for me that I cannot list it all, but one experience I
will always remember is the trip to Dubai.
There was a lot of hesitation about allowing a young kid like me to travel so far, but I am truly
grateful that I was given the opportunity. That trip was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
Before traveling to Dubai, I had never even been outside of my home state. Suddenly, I was in
another country, experiencing a new culture, meeting different people, and seeing a completely
different part of the world. It was truly eye-opening.
When my friends or coworkers talk about traveling and the places they hope to visit, I tell them
that I have been to Dubai, and they are always amazed. I was able to visit a place that many
adults dream of seeing when I was only 11 years old.
I am incredibly grateful to Educators with Passports for giving me that opportunity. I hope many
more young people will have the chance to experience what I did and learn that there is so
much more to discover beyond what they already know."
